Learn to Swim

Norwood Swim School specialises in teaching children and adults of all ages to swim. Our unique Learn to Swim pathway is a carefully structured, technique based program that ensures our students will have the best opportunity to develop strong swimming skills. This in turn, gives them the skills to be safe around water and have the best chance to excel in swimming at every level.

Swimmer’s achievements are recognised and rewarded throughout their learning by vibrant certificates.  Our small sized classes achieve a balance of challenging new skills and reinforcing current skills whilst making the lessons enjoyable and fun!

Our Instructors

Our friendly instructors are Active Training/AUSTSWIM qualified with current CPR certificates and prior to employment all of our staff are required to provide us with a current National Police Certificate.

Our Programs

In most levels in our program, students will be required to have a FREE swimming assessment.  The assessments take about 10 minutes and are conducted by one of our friendly supervisors.   Assessments can be booked Monday to Friday at 3.45pm and 4.45pm, Saturday mornings are also available at 8.30 am.  Students are assessed based on their suitability to the levels in the Learn to Swim Program and are not based on age.

*Babies, toddlers and beginner swimmers will not need an assessment.
